Take In the Wind

My sails are tightly fastened
By the ropes around the mast
As I sit, time slowly passes
To the dock I am held fast

I spend the time as all the others
We rock here side by side
By the moving of the waters
Rising only to subside

refrain:
Oh how could it be
For once set free
Driven by the wind and the waves
To feel the joy
When my sails are filled
And my masts have all been raised
To take in the wind,
Take in the wind,
I let the wind carry me away....

Dare I unleash the power
Of the mighty, driving wind
Shall I unfold the canvas
Let my sails be quickly filled
And cast off from the mooring
To be carried on the wind
To be carried......
on the wind

refrain:
Oh how could it be
For once set free
Driven by the wind and the waves
To feel the joy
When my sails are filled
And my masts have all been raised
To take in the wind,
Take in the wind,
I let the wind carry me, carry me, carry me away....
