Lesson 73
Meet Jesus : Kingdom Seeker

Matthew 6:
31: Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32: (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

In our daily lives, we meet decisions. Our decision can be focused on His kingdom and His provision or it can be focused on our ability. Jesus looked to the expansiveness of His Father and His graciousness. These verses and the core challenge lies in a group of verses talking about serving God or the system of the world (mammon) and talking about our daily provision of food and clothing. He is all that and a bag of chips.

ACT!
Take a worry. Think about it in light of the greatness of the Father. Quit worrying. Seek the kingdom.

PRAY!
Incredible Father of Love, You are my provider. You are the glory and the lifter of my head. You, oh Lord, are a shield for me. You are my exceeding great reward. No one treats me like You do. It is Your kingdom I will seek daily and all day long. Remove from me pointless meanderings of worry and regret. Surely there is no direction but forward in You.
