Lesson
10
Psalm
20 6 Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer
him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember
the name of the LORD our God. 8 They (our enemies) have bowed down
and fallen; but we have risen and stand upright
These few verses are the core of a song we used to sing in the ministry
school I attended in the early 80's. It always encouraged me, I
still sing it today. It is encouraging to remember that what was
good for Moses and the children of Israel is still good for me.
Oh, I forgot to tell you. This is out of the song that Miriam and
the children sang after they crossed the red sea and Pharoah's armies
did not make it. People change. Pharoah promised relief and renegged
on that promise. He spoke with forked tongue. There are many around
us like that.
Remember to only trust in Him and His name. The promises and past
performances of others will always disappoint you. They change.
He does not.
ACT!
Take one situation in life where someone has let you down, they
changed their direction, their support. Speak forgiveness over them.
Place your trust in God and God alone.
PRAY!
Father, You are and You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek
You. I trust in You to see me through. Those that set themselves
against me will fail, they will be brought down and fallen, but
I will arise and stand tall in You.
